It has been said that “driving a boat is like driving a car” and in the basic low speed form this is correct.

You have a steering wheel and an accelerator, you turn left to go left and you turn right to go right and you steer along a road or across the water in much the same way looking for hazards.

When the way ahead becomes bumpy or dangerous and you need to slow or stop you have a brake………the brake, the brake where is the brake?

Yes, in a car driving along a nice tarmac or even a bumpy dirt road you drive in a relative comfort zone knowing you have a means of stopping quickly. Whilst the road may get wet and it may get slippery, it may have a few bumps or hazards you can take your foot of the gas and apply the brakes.

Yes, easy in in a car but in a boat?

The track you drive in a car is almost the same 2 dimensional state all the time but in a boat the wave size and direction varies, there are holes and dips and there is air time at speed. A boat navigates in 3 Dimensions.

Liken it to an aircraft flying through clouds and storms……the reason we call you a pilot not a driver?

As a pilot you are on an ever changing track, that requires concentration and constant scanning of the water changes coming that could affect the boat handling, its ride and the trim of the boat as it flies through the water and at times the air.

There is a need for constant trimming of the boats speed, attitude and trim. Wind in the hair, rushing past your ears. The faster you go the more exhilarating it is, but the fine line of control and the ability to control the boat is compromised just like a racing car driver on a wet track.

The Solution

High Speed Pilot Training Designed for the boat owner or driver.

We will teach you;

  • The technical component of the boat, its engines and propulsion systems.

  • How the use of each system effects the boats usage and therefore the safety of the boat and its occupants

  • The art of slow and high speed piloting and how to apply the safety lessons.

  • Accelerating and how to slow down and stop without brakes

  • How to trim a boat to ride straight and true at higher and higher speeds where the boat is literally flying and at times ,with only the last 1 meter of hull in contact with the water at full speed.

  • The ability to trim a boat jumping over waves and other boat wakes where it does and can get airborne

  • How to apply high G turns at various speeds and in a variety of water conditions.

  • How to look for potential problems ahead and what to do and how to avoid them. Way before they happen

  • We will teach you recovery techniques for if when or when you get into a serious situation.

  • Our program is the basics of the Vector High Speed Pilot program and be increased from High Speed boat pilot to a Full on Race Boat drivers course for those with the desire and passion to go even faster

We will teach you how to have FUN…. Fast & Safely Register Your Interest HERE
