What is ilipa?

 

Ilipa is an historical location 10 km north of modern day Seville, in Spain. It was the site of one of the most strategic battle victories in history, where the commander Scipio Africanus’s defeated Hannibal in the second Punic war, in 206 BC.

Whilst we embrace the human element and always put people before profits at ilipa, that is not to say we are not careful, calculated nor strategic in our approach to building our businesses, and the name ilipa symbolizes this intent.

 

But why the small i? Well apart from making it easier to read, (LLIPA?) it also represents one of our underlying philosophies, which is to focus more on the 'US' and less on the 'I' … we strive to create teams not heroes.
